About Our
Services For Organisations
If your organisation already works, or is thinking
about working with volunteers, then VCC aims to help and support you with
recruiting and managing your volunteers.
We are set up to deal with basic queries like 'where can we get volunteers
from', right through to providing answers to some of the more complex legal
questions about volunteers and the law.
We aim to provide support to the smallest organisations run only by
volunteers, as well as meeting the needs of the larger volunteer involving
organisations, in and around Camden.
We offer a range of services for organisations - whatever your needs - we
can help...get in touch!
Promoting your volunteer
opportunities
We are set up
to refer potential volunteers to your organisation by issuing them
with
information about your volunteer opportunities which you have provided
us
with.
We operate a number of services for volunteer enquirers including:
- one-to-one pre-booked
appointments
- appointments for people with extra
support needs.
- drop-in sessions
- outreach sessions in local
venues and at other high profile events.
- We
can promote your opportunities on our own website and through the national volunteering database, 'www.do-it.org.uk'. We are also the local referral point for potential volunteers
from
the BBC's Timebank campaign.
Training
We
offer regular training programmes aimed at helping you work with
volunteers. Currently these take the form of Centre-based courses for
anyone who has responsibility for working with volunteers. . If you have specific issues that you would like us to
consider
covering as part of our training programme, please e-mail info@camdenvb.org.uk
For details of
our current training
programs, please click
here.
Support Sessions
Whether based at the Centre or at your own premises, we can at your
convenience
arrange a meeting to discuss your specific needs relating to your
work
with volunteers. This might range from how to go about starting a
volunteer
programme to looking at ways of re-motivating long-term volunteers
who
have become bored with their role. We will also produce a written
summary
of the meeting and are available for follow-up sessions if required.
This service is
open to member organisations only. Start-up support sessions are
available
to any organisation planning to introduce volunteers into their
work.
To request a
support session, simply e-mail info@camdenvb.org.uk
