Aims & Objectives
Aims
Camden Volunteer Bureau exists to promote and develop volunteering in Camden for the benefit of both volunteers and the community.
The bureau aims to enable the maximum number of people of all backgrounds to take part in high quality volunteer opportunities.
Objectives
- To enable individuals to become and remain volunteers through the provision of ongoing information, advice and support, whilst facilitating the development of skills, self-confidence and personal growth.
- To promote and enable access to volunteering for individuals from marginalised and socially excluded groups, including the facilitation of access to those with extra support needs and challenging stigma and disadvantage regarding volunteering wherever evident.
- To increase the capacity of voluntary and community organisations in Camden to involve volunteers.
- To promote and increase understanding of good practice in volunteering.
- To increase the range of opportunities available to people interested in volunteering and community involvement in Camden.
